Marc Schiltz

After graduating from med school at the Université Libre de Bruxelles in 2000, I pursued a professional basketball career for 2 years in Liège (Belgium).

At the University of Liège, I obtained a Master of Sports Medicine in 2002 and my specialization in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) in 2007.

Since October 2021, I am the head of the PMR department at UZ Brussel and the coordinating internship coordinator of PMR for the VUB.

My research interests lie in rehabilitation and chronic pain situation such as adhesive capsulitis which will be the topic of my PhD thesis.

My clinical work and executive MBA education have given me unique insights into the capabilities and future potential of wearable technologies, digital (mobile) health solutions, and I am passionate about bringing them to their full potential.
