Jorne Laton
Biography
With a master of Engineering: Applied Computer Science, a PhD Medical Sciences and a Postdoc in specialising in neurophysiology analysis, I created an ideal mix of medical understanding and engineering skills. This is nicely reflected by the different domains I am active in: a half-time software engineer and liaison for student projects in the UZ Brussel IT department, part-time researcher and teacher for AIMS and part-time researcher for STIMULUS.
Projects I am working on for STIMULUS are the resilience and strengthening app, for which I am the bridge between the implementation and the medical side, the setup of an automated processing system for self-reports and measurements, the pain intensity follow-up app and the investigation of possibilities for continuous heart rate variability and feedback systems through MOTUS.
