Ann De Smedt

As a physician with specializations in neurology (2011) and neurorehabilitation (2014), I'm currently working at the department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Universitair Ziekenhuis Brussel.

In 2015, I obtained my PhD at Vrije Universiteit Brussel about neuroprotection in ischemic stroke by systemic insulin-like growth factor I. Within STIMULUS, I'm specifically focusing on the relation between chronic pain and Covid-19, and on medication use.
